About The Project

© ACJC Photographic Society 2011

Our project was started in October 2010 when the Anglo-Chinese Junior College (ACJC) Photographic Society set out to look for a project that would be both meaningful and enriching for our members.

We chose to work with the Singapore Zoo, and they graciously accepted our request.

Our project's main aim is to raise awareness about the importance of conserving animals. We believe that photography is an effective medium, since it has been picked up by many in recent years. Furthermore, an image has the advantages of impact, universality and power, which words alone do not. As such, we hope that as you enjoy the photographs, you will also take some time to think about the plight of these animals. Please click here for more about what you can do to help!
